Tried to read your “travel go-tos” you’d posted on Pinterest. Links to blog, no search. Never did find it

No, I don’t buy filters, I just use the iPhone editing capability to adjust what I want to change in the photo… lighting, shadow etc.

Hello – I love following you on Instagram, your feed is beyond lovely and your little guy is so adorable. I know you get this question a bazillion times a day, and I’ve seen you respond a few times about editing your photos. I’m an amateur photographer (both DSLR and iPhone6) and use VSCO to edit as well as a few other apps like Photoshop and Afterlight, But mostly VSCO. I’m wondering if you will share a bit more about your editing process? It looks like you solely shoot with iPhone 6 and you edit using VSCO? You mentioned above you don’t use any filters, is that the case? I’m so surprised by that! Your photos definitely have a filtered like quality about them. Do you solely use the editing features on VSCO? And do you always shoot in natural light? I’m so curious how you achieve such a crisp white/light aesthetic. Would LOVE if you would consider doing a “How I edit my Instagram photos” post on your blog. I’ve seen other influencers post that type of content (such as @inhonorofdesign) and it’s extremely useful content and fun to read and I’m sure would generate a ton of interest from your fans.

            Hi Jenna!

Sorry for the late reply! If I am seeing the same response as the one you saw, I believe I said I don’t PURCHASE editing apps or filters. I do use filter though! I just use ones that VSCO provides for free. But if you go in their “shop” there are additional filters you can download for free! That’s where I found the one I love. I always use the same filter and then just boost the exposure a bit. And yes! Definitely only shoot with natural filtered light. I even try not to shoot photos in the bright sunlight, cloudy is best! 🙂

Hey! I’m interested in the Stowaway Makeup you use. Do you really love their product? I’ve been looking for good makeup for a while & I’m stuck in limbo. How long does the smaller sized products last you? & do you know if I can return it if I don’t like a certain shade? (I can contact them too if you’re not sure) I’m just really getting tired of spending money on makeup I don’t like.

I do! It’s great. Um… I’m not sure, I’ve only been using it for a month so I don’t know how long it will last. They have a guide though on their website. Not sure about their return policy either. Sorry not much help!

Hey there! I started my lifestyle blog two months ago and am desperate to see it grow! In your experience, how did your blog start to get big & recognized? How did you gain followers most effectively on a low budget? I’m in college & can’t afford to put too much into it right now. Please feel free to visit my blog, Captured Everyday, and share some tips & advice!

      Hi Trinity!

Thanks for your message. : ) I started my blog in 2011. I haven’t ever put any money into my blog except for purchasing a blog template that I liked on Etsy. It’s just a waiting game… you have to be patient. Pinterest seems to bring me a lot of traffic, you might try that.
Good, helpful or personal content and clear, interesting photos always helps too. Best of luck to you!

Hi there! Your simplistic way of decorating your home is just beautiful and is an inspiration for our new home. For some reason, I can’t comment on your instagram pictures so I just have a couple of questions.
I know your couch came from urban fusion but I am looking online and can’t seem to find the right one-can you tell me the name please? Where did your dark piece of furniture in your living room come from? i know your table and chairs are west elm but can’t find it online-can you provide name? Sorry for so many questions. 🙂

the pictures and your style. Can you please tell me what is the colour on your walls? And in nursery? Can you please share? I like there is a light contrast between the walls and the trim! Thank you
