… a bump …

love

There’s a serious bump happening. It seems to have grown over night! My pants are pretty snug, (I use a rubber band to hold the top together), most of my dresses no longer fit, to be honest, my wardrobe has gone downhill pretty fast in the past few weeks. That’s right folks. I’m growin a baby in there. And we’re pretty excited about it.

Remember how I have forgotten about my blog over and over again? Well that’s because I’m too gosh dang tired to do anything except my ‘every day absolutely have to do’ chores. Like going to work and eating. That’s all I have energy to do! Really. Anyone have any pointers to get some energy and LIFE back into me?! A magical pill?  (pregnancy safe obviously.) Let me know.

The little guy in there, (yep, it’s a BOIIII!),  is kicking up a storm! As I am typing this he is wiggling around the right side of my belly. I think he knows I am talking about him. I started feeling it at about 15 weeks! Pretty early huh! Now, at 18 weeks he is going NUTS! I kinda feel bad for the little guy. Maybe he’s claustrophobic like me!!! My worries as a mother have already begun.

So here we go on this magical adventure called pregnancy. So far it’s been super magical, like how I couldn’t eat anything but popsicles and sour patch kids for the first 3 months. In my mind, that’s pretty magical to have an excuse to eat that for every meal. It is really a strange feeling though, knowing you will be a PARENT to a CHILD!! I get small glimpses of realness, where it becomes really real all the sudden and I break down because, what if I am a terrible parent? But mostly, it doesn’t seem real.

So there you have it. Hurray for bebe! Send good thoughts and your pregnancy tips and tricks my way! Anything helps… 🙂

Congratulations!! I felt my first baby (Nick) kicking up a storm early on too – very early on. My doctor told me that was impossible…she had never been pregnant and still has never been pregnant. She was completely wrong. He is now 14-years-old and just started High school. I know it is a cliche to say it goes so fast. But it is supersonic. So enjoy every second like I have. Your life will forever be transformed and you will wonder how you lived before they came into your life. 🙂

OMG congrats! I am pregnant with my first baby and I am at 36 weeks. I am still having the new parent jitters and also feeling thrilled all at the same time! It’s been such an exciting time though, I’m sure you’ll love it 🙂

Gosh I love this and that little babe inside of you! I am so jealous you can feel him! That’s amazing! I can’t wait till I’m at that point!

    • Pay really close attention. I’ll bet you start feeling him in the next couple days!!! I am still trying to get Clay to feel him from the outside. I felt it from the outside for the first time the other day. I don’t think he has the patience. haha Maybe when it gets more noticeable he’ll be able to feel it.

I love him already too. I see a busy little guy like Clay was (from what I hear)–all full of life and mischief, with your sweetness and soft side. My advice to you for being tired is go outside during your lunch break and take deep breaths. Then walk a fast pace for a few minutes to get your heart rate up, after which lie down somewhere and take a power nap (as you can tell, I’m just making this up as I go along,) Oh drink lots of water too, and remember that aroma therapy is wonderful, along with thinking good thoughts.

    • Your made up advice sounds pretty legit. I like the part about the power nap. haha Remember those bath salts you gave me a long time ago? I have been using those in the bath at night! Very relaxing. I love that stuff!

How exciting! Congratulations! My tip would be to listen to your body and rest when you need to. It’s such a magical time but also so exhausting at the beginning. You will start to get more energy soon but in the meantime be good to yourself and don’t worry about taking a nap! You’re growing a baby- that’s a job in itself!

  8. Eeeeeeek! Congratulations! I’ve been following your blog for awhile and am so excited for you guys! You’re going to be a great mommy 🙂

EEEEEEEEE so excited. CALIFORNIA COUSINS!! I heart that little guy so much already too! My best advice to you is let yourself off the hook. It’s OKAY to be tired You are climbing a mountain every day making that baby! And just FYI, the tired doesn’t stop. The baby comes and the tired sticks around. So SLEEP WHILE YOU CAN!! Take a lovely nap every Sunday. While you still can. Do it!

  10. Congratulations! I saw something on Insta gram a bit ago about this fabulous news and have been checking your blog everyday for an update! So glad you found the energy to post how it is all going! Miss you! Congrats! I am so happy for you!
