… a hot chocolate party …

First, I would like to thank my new favorite blog in the whole blog-o-sphere “A Pair of Pears” for creating the Hot Chocolate Party Printable invitation, which inspired the whole darn thing. I would also like to thank my supporters… Clay, that’s you; for making several trips to the grocery store with me, cleaning up the house, doing endless amounts of dishes, and well, just sticking with me through my never ending insanity. You are great.

The holidays have always meant family getting together and eating. Yes, eating. I am not sure why but for some reason, all events in my family evolve around yummy food. And I don’t mind that at all. I had so much fun chit-chatting with everyone that night, eating unhealthy amounts of sugar, and just spending good ol’ quality time with friends and family. Thank you friends who sat on my fireplace, made comfy places on the floor, and to those who stood up for probably too long because my little home is teeny tiny.

Highlight of the night: Watching Dad attempting to maneuver his giant chocolate covered marshmallow into his hot chocolate, impaled by his sharpened candy cane, dipping it ever so carefully. I think I must have overlooked the fact that marshmallows are supposed to melt in your hot chocolate. Given that they were 2 inches x 2 inches, this was merely impossible. But thank you Dad, for humoring me… and trying your darndest to melt the marshmallows. I just thought they looked cute.

I love you all. I hope you find time this season to share time, laughs, and food with your friends and family!
