good eats // berry cobbler

Ok guys, this is seriously the easiest dessert you will EVER make and might be one of the greatest. It was so delicious; I had 3 bowls because I figured it is a very HEALTHY dessert, you know, filled with fruit and all. Right? Probably wrong.

But this is a must try because all you really have to lose is a can of cake mix, sprite, and 5 minutes prep time.

You need:

1 package white cake mix

8 oz. sprite

2 // 16 oz. bags of frozen fruit of your choice. (I used blackberries and raspberries.)

You do:

Layer frozen fruit on the bottom of a 9×13 pan. Sprinkle cake mix on top until covered. Pour sprite over cake mix.

Put in oven for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool 15-20 minutes after… serve with vanilla ice cream!

YUM!!

p.s. I FORGOT to take a picture of the finished dish! And we ate it all already!! Sad day.

At first I was thinking, WAIT; we’re eating all this powdery stuff on top– so when I read that you baked it I knew it would be yummy. Can’t wait to try it tonight. It will be our DEBATE event treat. In fact, I think I’ll invite Nancy and Bill over to help us eat it. Now I have something to be excited about. Yeah! Before your blog it was going to be a pretty boring day.

I made it with blueberries, raspberries and yellow cake mix because that’s what I had. You could make it with anything. Dad loved it. Very yummy!

  3. Thanks this looks so good, and perfect for cold nights!

This looks so easy and yummy, and another perk: NO butter! My recipe has lots of butter 🙁
    I’m going to try yours!

A normal can is TWELVE oz….I had to run and add more to the pan! Lol

Can I use fresh raspberries? If so do I do I need any other ingredients?

Hm… yes! I think you could… but might not bake exactly the same, but would still work. Let me know how it works out! 🙂

Can you use pie filling instead of frozen berries?

I’m not sure! I haven’t tried that. Let me know how it is though! Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
