Moms always know just what to say and do to make you feel wonderful about yourself. I received a box filled with these goodies yesterday with a knock on the door after work, it felt like Christmas morning! I opened it up and found 5 wonderful surprises. What Girls Can Be, 12 Secrets to Highly Creative Women, Gifts from the Sea, my “reach for the stars” figurine my mother gave me years ago, and the best motherly words of encouragement.
I remember looking through this book as a child. “I have so many choices!”, I thought. There were 8 whole pages of possible careers! I could be a model, a ballerina, a housekeeper, a secretary, a mother… the list goes on and on (for about 2 more pages…) I feel so lucky to have the whole world in front of me; and a mother who is so supportive and believes in my probably more than I believe in myself.
THANK YOU MAMA! You’re the best! I now feel I can conquer the world. 🙂

What a surprise to see the contents of the box on the screen! Well, since you are in your soul searching, creative out reach, and contemplative moods lately, I thought these tools would come in handy. Your “Reach for the Stars Mouse” mouse has been your motto all your ilfe hasn’t it? It’s sort of like Britt’s TRY dress, I guess. Oh, the last page of the book says something like, “best of all I can be a mommy some day.” That one is still rings true today.
